As practice during my final year at University, I decided to recreate, in detail, the undisputed king of gaming consoles: the Sega Mega Drive. The project involved not only making each of the individual exterior components- the console itself, its cables and game cartridges, but also a number of precise measurements- while the Mega Drive may look a simple shape, it has many chamfers and bevels and it is very easy to spot an inaccurate edge.
And so, I set about modelling and texturing everything from scratch. No part of this project is
taken from anywhere else- it's just a product of my eyes and a mini tape measure I got as a souvenier in Guernsey.
